Cubbie Blues: 100 Years of Waiting til’ Next Year
During the 100th anniversary season since the Cubs last won the World Series (2008), a group of authors got together and contributed essays about their extended agony of being life long Cubs fans. The book was edited by author Donald G. Evans.
Rick Kaempfer’s “Go (Away) Sox” is a funny take on the torment he experiences as the best friend of a White Sox fan, but there are also wonderful contributions from fellow authors like Don De Grazia, Jonathan Eig, James Finn Garner, Robert Goldsborough, Dave Hoekstra, Rick Kogan, Sara Paretsky, Randy Richardson, Stuart Shea, Scott Simon, and Christine Sneed among others.
There are also contributions from Chicago radio stars Lin Brehmer and Mike Murphy.
A must for any literary Cubs fan.”
